Limitations of Cyclotron

* Cyclotron cannot accelerate uncharged particles like neutrons.

* Cyclotron cannot accelerate electrons because of its small mass.

* It cannot accelerate positively charged particles with large mass due to relativistic effect.

    1. varying magnetic field or varying the frequency of the oscillator

    2. It's supposed to increasing* magnetic field as in synchrotron and not simply varying while frequency needs to be decreased as in synchro-clyclotron.
